Chocolate Coco Nut Bars

Chocolate Coco-Nut Bars


  • 1 package (5.75 ounces) milk chocolate chips
  • ½ cup light corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Blue Bonnet margarine
  • 1 teaspoon McCormick/Schilling vanilla extract
  • 4 cups Cheerios cereal
  • ½ cup salted peanuts
  • ½ cup shredded coconut


  1. Butter square pan 9x9x92 inches.
  2. Heat chocolate chips, corn syrup, margarine and vanilla in 3-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth; remove from heat.
  3. Stir in cereal, peanuts and coconut until well coated.
  4. Turn mixture into pan; press with buttered back of spoon.
  5. Let standat least 1 hour.
  6. Cut into bars, about 2¼x1½ inches.


24 bars.
