Cherry Tart

Cook Time: 45 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes


  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon lemon or orange extract
  • Cherry filling
  • Powdered sugar


  1. Cream the oleo, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and extract
  2. Add the flour
  3. Grease tart pan and spread batter evenly in pan
  4. Mark 24 squares
  5. Make a hole in each square with spoon for filling
  6. Spoon cherries in middle of each square
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes
  8. Allow to cool
  9. Sprinkle with powdered sugar on top
