Cherry Pie Recipe

- Pie crust
- Can of cherries (juice saved)
- 2/3 - 1 cup sugar
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 cup cherry juice
- 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
- 2 1/2 - 2 2/3 cup cherries
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Make pie crust
- Drain and reserve juice from canned cherries
- In a saucepan mix the sugar and flour
- Slowly stir in the cherry juice and the almond extract
- Cook on moderate heat - stirring constantly until thick
- Pour cherries into pie shell
- Cover with juice
- Dot with butter
- Bake at 425 degrees for 35 - 45 minutes
