Cherry Pie

Cook Time: 35 minutes
Total Time: 35 minutes


  • Pie crust
  • Can of cherries (juice saved)
  • 2/3 - 1 cup sugar
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 cup cherry juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 1/2 - 2 2/3 cup cherries
  • 1 tablespoon butter


  1. Make pie crust
  2. Drain and reserve juice from canned cherries
  3. In a saucepan mix the sugar and flour
  4. Slowly stir in the cherry juice and the almond extract
  5. Cook on moderate heat - stirring constantly until thick
  6. Pour cherries into pie shell
  7. Cover with juice
  8. Dot with butter
  9. Bake at 425 degrees for 35 - 45 minutes
