Cherries and Cherry Jelly Recipe

Cherries and Cherry Jelly (VRP 001)
Ingredients
Canned Cherries
- 1 cup water
- 2 parts sugar
- 1 part water
Cherry Jelly
- 4 cups cherry juice
- 7 cups sugar
- 1/2 bottle Certo
- Paraffin
Instructions
Canned Cherries
- Cook enough cherries for 1 quart can in 1 cup water until done
- Put in hot sterilized can and fill immediately with boiling syrup (2 parts sugar and 1 part water) and seal
Cherry Jelly
- Combine the hot cherry juice and sugar
- Boil hard for 2 minutes
- Add the Certo and boil hard for 2 minutes
- Pour into canning jars and place paraffin on top
