Cheesy Macaroni and Meatballs

Cheesy Macaroni and Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 2 slightly beaten eggs
  • ¾ cup soft bread crumbs (1 slice)
  • 2 tablespoons each finely chopped onion, green pepper, and parsley
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 7¼-ounce package macaroni and cheese dinner mix
  • 1 2½-ounce package sour cream sauce mix
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
  • 2 cups milk

Instructions

  1. In medium bowl, combine eggs, crumbs, onion, green pepper, parsley, the first ½ teaspoon oregano, the garlic salt, and a dash pepper.
  2. Add ground beef; mix thoroughly.
  3. Shape in 24 meatballs.
  4. Place in shallow baking pan.
  5. Bake in 375° oven for 20 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, cook macaroni according to package instructions; drain.
  7. Combine dry cheese mix from package dinner, sour cream sauce mix, and the remaining oregano; beat in milk.
  8. Stir in cooked macaroni.
  9. Turn into ungreased 12x7x1½-inch baking dish.
  10. Top with meatballs.
  11. Bake, uncovered, in 375° oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
