Caramel Popcorn Balls Recipe

Caramel Popcorn Balls
- ½ lb. (28) caramels
- 2 Tbsp. (¼ stick) butter or oleo
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. boiling water
- 3 qt popped corn
- Melt butter or oleo over low heat, add caramels, salt & boiling water.
- Heat slowly stirring constantly until caramels are melted.
- Beat slightly & continue cooking over low heat until caramel syrup sheets from spoon.
- Grease bottom & side of large bowl. Add popped corn.
- Pour caramel syrup over corn.
- Slightly greased hands.
- Toss corn in syrup until thoroughly coated. Form into balls. Yield: 12 to 14 balls.
