Caramel Apple Cake Recipe

- 1 3/4 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3/4 cup oleo (butter)
- Apples, peeled and diced
- Nuts, chopped
- 1 1/2 cup confectioners sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 - 4 teaspoons milk
- 1/4 cup oleo, melted (butter)
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- In a large bowl combine 9 ingredients
- Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup
- Beat 3 minutes at medium speed
- Stir in apples, nuts, and raisins
- Pour into 13" x 9" pan and bake 30 - 40 minutes
- In a small bowl blend frosting ingredients until smooth
- Spread on cake
