Butterscotch Ice Box Cookies

Butterscotch Ice Box Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 pd of margarine
  • 2 cups brown sugar, or 1 cup brown and 1 cup white
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups nuts
  • 6 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon of soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Vanilla

Instructions

  1. Cream shortening and sugar, add eggs well beaten, and then nuts, then add dry ingredients.
  2. Mix well, make into rolls and wrap in waxed paper or mold in a pan, and let stand over night in refrigerator.
  3. Next A. M. slice thin and bake quickly in hot oven, 450 about 10 minutes.
