Butterscotch Filling

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/3 cup butterscotch morsels
  • 1 egg yolk, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup coconut, chopped
  • 1 cup nuts, chopped

Instructions

  1. Combine the sugar, corn starch, evaporated milk, water, butterscotch morsels, and egg yolk in a sauce pan
  2. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until thick
  3. Remove from heat and add the butter, coconut and nuts
  4. Cool
