Brussels Sprouts With Mustard Seed

Brussels Sprouts With Mustard Seed

Ingredients

  • 2½ lbs. small fresh brussels sprouts, trimmed, and cross cut in each base
  • ¼ cup (½ stick) butter
  • 2 tbls. white mustard seed or 1 tbls. white and 1 tbls. brown mustard seed *
  • ¼ cup coarse-grained French mustard
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • Freshly ground pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook brussels sprouts in large saucepan of boiling salted water until crisp-tender, 10 to 12 minutes. Drain.
  2. Before serving, stir butter and mustard seed in heavy large skillet over medium heat until butter browns.
