Bits O’ Brickle Cookies Recipe

Bits O Brickle Cookies
Yield: 50 x 2" cookies

Bits O' Brickle Cookies

Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Bits o' Brickle (Heath bar)
  • 6 tablespoons flour, unsifted
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons liquid shortening
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 6 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons flour, unsifted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees
  2. In a small bowl mix Bits o' Brickle with liquid shortening until evenly coated then stir in 6 tablespoons flour until well coated
  3. Set aside
  4. In a large bowl combine the butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla
  5. Beat until creamy
  6. Beat in egg
  7. Gradually add the salt, baking soda, and flour
  8. Mix well
  9. Stir in the coated Bits o' Brickle
  10. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet
  11. Bake at 325 degrees for 10 - 12 minutes
