Banana Walnut Loaf
Yield: 1 loaf

Banana Walnut Loaf

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup mashed banana
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup chopped DIAMOND Walnuts

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, shortening, and eggs; beat hard until light
  2. Add mashed banana
  3. Sift flour with baking powder, salt, and baking soda
  4. Stir into cream mixture, beating until smooth
  5. Add walnuts
  6. Pour into a greased 9" x 5" x 3" loaf pan
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 -70 minutes or until loaf tests are done.
  8. Cool on rack
