Aunt Minnie’s Relish
I love this recipe for Aunt Minnie’s Relish because it calls for the Appalachian term “mangoes,” which are green peppers.

Hi, Where this recipe says Mangoes (green peppers), do they actually mean ma goes as in the tropical fruit, or do they mean green peppers as in capsicums. I imagine it would be green peppers but just want to make sure. Thankyou.

It's the green pepper. Green peppers are called mangoes in the midwest / Appalachian area of the US.
