Asparagus Piquant Recipe

- ⅓ cup soft bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 3 slices bacon, diced
- 1 small clove garlic
- 1-½ pounds asparagus
- 3 tablespoons wine vinegar
- In small skillet, brown crumbs in the butter; set aside.
- In same skillet, cook bacon with garlic until crisp and browned. At same time, cook asparagus in boiling salted water by any preferred method, drain and put in hot serving dish.
- Remove garlic from skillet, add vinegar to skillet, heat and pour over asparagus. Sprinkle with reserved crumbs. Makes 4 servings.
