Asparagus Au Gratin Recipe

Asparagus Au Gratin
- 1 cup soft bread crumbs, buttered
- dash of pepper
Thin white sauce
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1½ tbsp flour
- 1½ cup milk
- ½ tsp. salt
- (opt) ½ X c. cheese cut up (grated)
- 2-4 hard boiled eggs, sliced
- Place half of crumbs in baking dish.
- Make a white sauce of butter, flour, milk and seasonings. (Add cheese (opt.) or use ½ cup __ topping, and blend.
- Alternate layers of eggs, asparagus, (and cheese sauce).
- Top with remaining crumbs.
- Bake 350° 20 25 min.
