Apple Dumpling

Apple Dumpling

Ingredients

  • 4 cups, sliced or diced pelled apples
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup flour sifted
  • Pinch salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ cup milk

Instructions

  1. Butter a 9" sq baking dish.
  2. Mix apples, water & sugar together & put in bottom of pan.
  3. Combine eggs, butter, sugar, flour, salt, vanilla, cinnamon & milk.
  4. Pour over apples & bake in 350° oven for 40 min or until done, depending on type of apples you use.
  5. Serve with dab of ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

Makes 5 or 6 servings.
