Apple Cinnamon Cake (VRP 037)

Ingredients

  • 1 package (18.25 oz.) spice or yellow cake mix
  • 1 can (21 oz.) Wilderness
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350°.
  2. Blend together cake mix, pie filling and eggs in large mixer bowl.
  3. Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Combine sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Spread half the batter in greased 13x9-inch pan; sprinkle with half the cinnamon-sugar.
  5. Repeat with remaining batter and cinnamon-sugar.
  6. Bake 30 to 35 minutes, until wooden pick inserted in cake comes out clean.
  7. Cool.

Notes

High Altitude: Stir 1/3 cup flour into dry cake mix and add 1/3 cup water with eggs. Bake at 375° for 35-37minutes until toothpick tests clean.
